When The Sideliners Show went on the air in the summer of 2009 we immediately knew the NFL would be a big part of the show. Even though show isn’t only about sports, the high popularity of football made and the short NFL season it easy to cover without getting too sports-centric. One way we cover the sport is through Matt’s weekly picks, in a segment we call Locks, Shocks & Jocks.
The second way The Sideliners Show covers the NFL is with our preseason picks. Before the first snap, Chris & Matt make predictions of every team’s record for the season, division & Wild Card winners for each conference, and of course our Superbowl predictions. Sounds easy, but it’s actually a lot harder than it sounds!
During the 2009-2010 season, the guys had a little beginner’s luck with Chris correctly picked both Superbowl teams as well as the winner (Saints over the Colts) and Matt not doing too poorly either, picking the Saints to beat the Chargers. It’s gone downhill from there!
